Student Ministry Teams
The Ministry Team portion of our youth ministry is designed to activate the gifts of the students while providing them with discipleship and evangelistic opportunities. Students will have the option to choose which Ministry Team will best utilize their God-given gifts and talents. They will also experience training and teaching in their specific area of ministry.
Worship Team “Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth. Serve the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful singing.” Psalms 100:1-2
- Training and Teaching of what true Biblical worship is
- Incorporate Scripture, prayer, and other means of worship into weekly worship
- Organize and lead worship during The Living Room and The Highway
- Development of musical talents and abilities
- Coordinate and schedule songs based on weekly themes and events
Technical Arts Team
- Training and Teaching of what true Biblical worship is
- Develop and utilize media and technological skills
- Create innovative ways to enhance the technology of the youth ministry
Children’s Ministry Team “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” Proverbs 22:6
- Biblical training on the significance and importance of children’s ministry
- Providing a hands-on experience of nurturing and mentoring younger children
- Involvement in volunteer responsibilities and opportunities within the children’s ministry
Drama Team “My heart overflows with a good theme; I address my verses to the King; my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.” Psalms 45:1
- Biblical training on acting out our relationship with God
- Prepare frequent drama presentations to reinforce Biblical messages
- Use dramas to promote upcoming events and programs
- Explore evangelistic opportunities through drama
Compassion Team “Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be your first must be your slave – just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many” Matthew 20:26-28
- To come as humble servants of Jesus Christ and to love, serve, and minister to all ages, stages, or walks of life
- Biblical training on what it means to love as Christ loves
- Applying the principles of stepping out of your comfort zone to serve others
- Evangelistic training on how to know and share your faith
- Involved in daily, weekly, and monthly outreach events
- Follow-up on visitors and contacts
