Ian Ross

Secretary

Ian was born in India and raised in Nigeria, Ethiopia, Scotland, and the United States. His career in higher education and health care brought him and his wife, Janet, to Florida from New Jersey in 1995. They began attending Boca Raton Community Church in 2004 and decided to make it their church home in 2005. They have four wonderful children that are all graduates of Boca Raton Christian School.

Ian desires to live generously, practice hospitality, and be a true disciple-maker. He and his wife do this by serving in many of our ministries including CityLead, WorldLead, Boca Helping Hands, Young Adults, and many others. Ian is also a member of Boca Christian’s trustee board and an active participant in many Boca Christian events.

George Williams

Treasurer

George is a native Floridian from Miami. As a graduate of the University of Florida and Duke University, he has been a resident of Boca Raton and a member of Boca Community for over 30 years. George and his wife, Deanna, have served with NextGen and Adult Study Groups teaching and contributing to the family of God. George and Deanna have 3 adult children who have experienced the blessing of being a part of the Boca Raton Community Church and Boca Raton Christian School family.

George is also a member of the Finance Committee. He desires to serve, glorify God, and add value to others as he continues his daily walk with the Lord. His prayer is that Boca Raton Community Church continues to serve as a beacon in this community and throughout South Florida for another 70 years.

Sam Sandoval

Sam was born in Mexico City, Mexico. He started attending Boca Raton Community church in 2009 where he met his lovely wife Monet. Sam and Monet have three children, Ethan, Landon and Seth. They love Boca Community because they experience authentic community fully based on God’s Word. Sam is grateful that the focus of all ministries at Boca Community is on knowing and understanding God’s Word, building a strong personal relationship with Him, and reaching out into the community and the world.

He and his family are actively involved in Awana, Boca Kids, Groups, Men’s Ministry and CityHouse. Sam loves being a “kid” with his boys and teaching them about God’s Word. He is a music guy and enjoys listening to full albums on his record player.

Daniel Alvarado

Daniel was born in Monterrey, Mexico, and moved to the U.S. when he was in his teens. He has a heart for supporting people in Mexico. Daniel is married to Rebeca and they have 5 young children who attend Boca Raton Christian School: Gracie, Michael, Jackson, Sophia, and Benny. Boca Raton Community Church is where Daniel and Rebeca met, and the community of believers is foundational in their life. One of Daniel’s passions is to glorify God through his family and bless those who he encounters. His goal is to make his home a resting place and a refuge for those who need to be refreshed in the Lord.

Daniel is a member of the Finance Committee and is involved with the tax program at Palm Beach Atlantic University.

Aaron Edwards

Aaron was born in Indiana but spent much of his life in Brazil, South America, where he met his wife, Lorena. They were married in 2008 and are blessed with three children—Noah, and twins Benjamin and Julia. Since relocating from Indiana to Florida in 2019, Boca Raton Community Church has been their home church.

In addition to serving as an elder, Aaron is an entrepreneur in the agricultural sector, with business ventures in multiple countries. He and his family are actively involved in mentorship, the Marriage & Family Ministry, and the Boca Student Ministry. Over the years, a growing life of prayer, surrender, and a deepening love for God’s Word have shaped his walk with Christ, his marriage, and his family. Aaron is honored to serve as an elder and looks forward to following God’s lead in this role.

Paul Phair

Paul was born and raised in a Chicago suburb and later moved with his family to Iowa for his high school years. As a teenager, he searched earnestly for life’s meaning and, at age nineteen, came to a life-changing faith in Jesus Christ. Soon after, while leading in a university campus ministry, Paul sensed God’s call to lifelong Gospel ministry. He went on to earn theological degrees, received ordination, and served as a pastor for thirty-seven years.

Paul and his wife, Bev, married in 1975 and God blessed them with two children and four grandchildren. Together, they ministered eight years in North Dakota and twenty-eight years in Tampa, Florida, before vocationally retiring to Boca Raton in 2016.

At Boca Raton Community Church, Paul leads the Men’s Study and Fellowship Group, and he and Bev train and coach couples in marriage preparation and enrichment. Paul considers it a sacred privilege to serve as an elder and to shepherd our congregation alongside a wonderful team of leaders.
