Matthew, his wife Jana, and their four children, Aidan, Emma, Madeline, and Olivia, moved to Florida in 2012. After 16 years of serving in full-time pastoral ministry, Matthew moved to South Florida to become involved in Jana’s family’s business in Boca Raton. They found Boca Raton Community Church in 2017, and have considered it home ever since. Matthew now serves as the Senior Pastor at Boca Community. He and his family love the joy, life, and community that is fostered here and are committed to seeing it advance in the years to come. He has a passion for teaching and for all generations to study God’s Word together. Jana is involved in the Women’s Ministry and volunteers with BocaKids. Their children can also be found serving in different capacities around the church on Sunday mornings and throughout the week.

Cameron is passionate about helping people connect in authentic relationships that lead to spiritual transformation. He grew up in South Florida and met his wife Sarah at Samford University in Birmingham, AL. Cameron leads our Groups Ministry, which includes Study, Equip, Serve, and Outreach Groups. He also helps lead our CityLead and WorldLead initiatives, using leader development to transform lives, communities, and ministries both locally and around the world. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with Sarah and their son Carson, singing too loud, Apple products, and a good cup of coffee.

Carl and his wife Lori are originally from Michigan and moved to Boca Raton in 2003 shortly after getting married on the beach in Ft Lauderdale. He has been on staff at Boca Community since 2018. Carl’s ministry background includes several years of working with College Students, Young Adults and Young Married Couples. In addition to his responsibilities as the Groups Director, Carl and Lori also lead the Young Professionals group and enjoy mentoring young men and women in the church.
Carl, Lori, and their daughter Elsie enjoy spending time together at the beach.
Carl’s life verse is Ephesians 3:20-21. God can do more than we can ask or imagine and only He deserves the glory.

Trent serves as our Worship Director at Boca Community, holding a bachelor’s degree in education, and is passionate about leading others in authentic worship while helping them grow in faith through joy, prayer, and gratitude. Over the years, he has worked as a music educator, served as an ordained minister, and been an athletic director at Boca Christian. Trent has taught the Generations Study Group and currently leads our Young Adults Group along with his wife, Natalie.
They are the proud parents of four children: Alexandra and her husband, Ben Gonzalez, and their daughter Stella, Addison and her husband, Jeffery Fariss, Josiah, and Tyler. His life and ministry are guided by 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18, which calls believers to rejoice always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances.

Sean serves as Music Director for Boca Community. He is dedicated to sharing his knowledge and expertise attained from an over four-decade career in the music industry to help lift worship teams to their highest potential. Throughout the years, Sean has worked as a music producer, composer, arranger and acclaimed studio/touring musician. He has served as Music Director for multiple artists and worship teams since the ‘90s and now focuses his craft on music education and passing his gifts onto others so that they can serve the Kingdom with all their hearts and abilities.
Sean and his wife Jami are very proud to be a part of the Boca Community family and happily serve with big smiles and a Southern twang. They moved to Boca Raton in 2017 from Nashville and look forward to being a part of this church family for many years to come. Sean is led by a servant’s heart guided by Philippians 2:3 “Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than ourselves”.

Bill has a passion for seeing God’s Church transform the South Florida area. He grew up in Boca Raton but is no stranger to the cold as he spent 4 years at Wheaton College in Illinois. After studying Christian Education, he joined the staff at Boca Community to pour back into the church and school that invested so much in him.
Bill loves seeing the interconnectedness of the body of Christ and gets the opportunity to foster generational discipleship by overseeing our Young Adults Ministry and the students at Boca Christian School. One of his favorite times of the week is helping lead worship on Sunday mornings as he sings (and sometimes dances) in awe of his Savior.
Bill and his wife Natasha met at Boca Community and have two children who fill their family life with joy, laughter, and energy. As a family, they enjoy ultimate frisbee, the great outdoors, and lots of board games.

Danielle loves to work with children of all ages. She began her career 25 years ago working in the medical field with a focus on pediatrics. She has since transitioned to education and continues to work with and serve the children in our community.

Ali was born and raised in Boca Raton and graduated from the University of Florida. She is currently obtaining her Master’s of Divinity from Fuller Seminary. Her heart is that all children would come to know how loved they are, both by the Lord and by the church. Ali and her husband Johnny met at Boca Community right before the COVID shutdown. They have a Lab Mix puppy named Oliver. They all enjoy sports, games, and the outdoors. Ali’s life verse is Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you hope and a future.”

Donna-Kay grew up at Boca Raton Community Church where she came to know the Lord at a young age, attended Boca Raton Christian School from third through twelfth grade, met and married her wonderful husband, William, and raised their four terrific kids. Donna-Kay has a background in psychology and a master’s degree in clinical social work specializing in children and families. She loves kids of all ages, having worked with preschool through high school-aged kids while volunteering at church and homeschooling her children.

Linda was born in New Jersey and moved to Florida at age seven, where she’s lived ever since. She married her high school sweetheart, Mark, and they have three children and eight grandchildren. With a B.A. in Elementary Education from FAU, Linda has spent her life teaching and homeschooling.
She and Mark began serving in Awana in the early 1980s and later spent 10 years as Sparks Directors at Boca Community. Linda loves how Awana plants God’s Word in hearts and is excited to return as Awana Coordinator.
One of her favorite verses is Isaiah 43:19, “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

Born in Niteroi, Brazil, Pedro emigrated to the United States in 2000 with his family. Pedro has a tremendous passion for reaching and discipling the next generation of students to grow in their faith and to truly understand the gospel. He and his wife, Kim, met while serving with students and love to serve the next generation together. He has a Divinity Degree from Grimké Seminary, and in his free time, he loves reading, playing video games, and brewing the best cup of coffee on this side of the equator.
His life verse is Mark 8:36, “For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?” This verse serves as a constant reminder to him that following Christ is more important than anything else we can gain in this world.

Mr. Visser joined Boca Raton Christian School in 2003 after teaching for 10 years in Canada. He holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Alberta, as well as a Master’s of Education in Educational Leadership from Covenant College. Mr. Visser has served Boca Christian in many capacities, including teaching various grades, coaching, and administration. He and his wife Mary Jo have been married since 2004 and have four children.

Kim was born and raised in Daytona Beach, Florida. She moved to South Florida to attend Palm Beach Atlantic University and graduated with a B.A. in Graphic Design. She has been a part of the Boca Community family since 2014 and has been working as the church’s graphic designer ever since. Kim met her husband, Pedro, while serving with the Student and Young Adult ministries. Her goal is to use her gifts of design, marketing, and creativity to help the church communicate the gospel message clearly and effectively. Kim enjoys photography, spending time with friends, laughing too loud, and singing constantly.

Tim is a native Floridian who grew up in Fort Lauderdale through his teenage years, then moved to upstate New York with his family, where he worked in the emergency medical field. Since then he has moved back to sunny South Florida where he has worked in the audio visual industry for over 20 years. Tim enjoys reading, fitness, time with family, and anything involving the ocean.

Caitlyn is all about expanding the Kingdom of God here on earth and applying her passion for event planning, communications, and building relationships to do so. She is the coordinator of many of our leader development ministries, including CityLead Boca, CityLead, and WorldLead.
Caitlyn grew up on the west coast of Florida and relocated to South Florida where she received a B.A. in Communication from Florida Atlantic University. She met her husband Caleb at a Boca Community small group and they have settled in Delray Beach. Caitlyn loves leading small groups for young adults and girls in the church community, singing, sewing, and all things involving the beach.

Stephanie is a Boca Raton native and serves as the Groups Coordinator. She joined the Boca Community staff in 2018 after completing an 8-year career as a professional ballet dancer with “Ballet Magnificat!”, where she had the privilege of performing in over 20 different countries while sharing the good news of Jesus through the company’s productions. Today, she can be found organizing the details behind the scenes for the church’s Groups and many church events. She is passionate about seeing people experience the love of Jesus and the transformation that comes through living in a strong community with other believers.
In addition to working at the church, Stephanie teaches dance classes at Boca Christian and assists in choreographing their high school productions. In her spare time, she loves a good cup of coffee, slow Saturday mornings, tacos, and time with family and friends.

Juliana was born and raised in South Florida. She attended Florida Atlantic University and earned a B.F.A. in Graphic Design, developing her skills in visual communication. She and her husband, Daniel, began attending Boca Community in 2020 and have been actively involved in small groups and serving at the church. With a passion for organization and creativity, Juliana helps manage the church calendar and supports the communications and events teams. She loves using her gifts to serve others and has a passion for sharing God’s love. In her free time, she enjoys spending time at the beach, creating art, reading, and traveling.

Joanne grew up in New Jersey and has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Rutgers University. She was a software developer for IBM before “retiring” to start a family. She now serves the church and school in the area of software support.
Joanne and her husband Les have been married since 1979. They have two daughters and a growing number of adorable grandchildren. Her life verse is Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.”

Christine originates from Lowell, Massachusetts where she received her B.S. in Accounting. She later moved to South Florida and joined the Boca Community family in 2016. Christine serves with our First Impressions Team, CityLead team, and is involved in our Women’s Study Groups. She enjoys walking, hiking, biking, and skiing.
Her life verse is Philippians 4:6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Alexandra originates from Kazakhstan. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting before emigrating to South Florida. Her family started attending Boca Raton Community Church in 2015. Alexandra and her husband, Slava, are leaders in our Russian Speaking Study Group. She also serves on our Prayer team and is involved in many other ministries. Alexandra loves spending time with her family and friends, gardening, cosmetology, cooking, and spending time at the beach.
Her life verse is Psalm 84:2, “My soul longs, yes, faints for the courts of the Lord; my heart and flesh sing for joy to the living God.”

Slava is originally from Kazakhstan where he studied Finance. He received his Bachelor’s Degree before emigrating to South Florida with his wife, Alexandra. He and his family started attending Boca Raton Community Church in 2015. He leads the Russian Speaking Study Group with his wife and is heavily involved with many different ministries and events throughout at Boca Community. Slava and Alexandra have two amazing children, Christine and Daniel. He loves learning and working on construction projects, building things, and spending time with his family and friends.

Francois and Karen Vosloo are from South Africa and have been with the church since 2017. They are passionate about our Lord Jesus and desire to see people follow Him and live out their calling to the fullest. Leader Development, Disciple-making, and Prayer is their main focus. They have been missionaries for 45 years and have 2 married sons and one granddaughter.
