We believe God has called our church to reach out into our community and engage the world. One of the ways we live this out is by serving in our community through our Outreach Groups. In an Outreach Group, you will have the opportunity to serve those in need. Whether it’s through serving in our food and nging ministry, CityHouse, 4Kids of South Florida and more, we have a place for you to step out and impact our community.
CarePortal is the next step in combatting the foster care crisis in our nation. Through CarePortal, we have the opportunity to meet the concrete needs of families in crisis so children can remain with their families and out of foster care. Requests are vetted by child welfare professionals who have a relationship with the families and passed along to partner churches and organizations.
The top five most frequently requested needs on CarePortal are: beds and cribs, dressers, living room furniture, car seats, and seasonal items. If you’d like to get involved with this incredible ministry opportunity or want more information, click the Sign Up button.
For many students from low-income families who qualify for free or reduced lunches at school, the meals provided on their campuses are the only ones they receive all week. Through our Boca Helping Hands Backpack Program, we aim to make this reality nonexistent. In order to do this we pack nutritious food in backpacks and distribute them to local school children enrolled in the National Free and Reduced Lunch Program. By doing this, we can help supplement the students’ meals over the weekend. In addition to making sure these students have full bellies, it has been proven that this program helps students achieve higher academic scores and that it reduces rates of absenteeism.
If you have a few extra hours a week to spare, and want to get involved, we would love for you to join us! We are looking for team leaders and packers to help for 1-2 hours on Tuesday afternoons.
Our Clothing Closet ministry helps support organizations in need in our local community as well as our WorldLead partners.
You may drop off donated items Thursday mornings from 9:00-10:30 AM or after church on Sunday mornings at the White House garage located directly west of the Sanctuary building at 475 NW 6th Street. We accept:
We are always in need of volunteers to sort and fold clothing that has been donated.
In the words of Jesus revealed in Matthew 25:35 & 40, “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me…Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.”
It is a joyous pleasure and a privilege to provide all three of these acts of compassion during our service at the Boca Helping Hands Food Center. This Outreach Group serves on the 4th Saturday of every month. We prepare and distribute between 200 and 250 nutritious meals to those in need, and clean up afterwards.
Our goal is to be the light of Christ to all we meet.
CityHouse is a two-year program based out of Delray that helps homeless single mothers and prevents children from being placed in the foster care system. Through CityHouse, these single mothers have better opportunities to develop healthy lifestyles enabling them to provide sustainable, loving and proper care for their children. We are excited to have a CityHouse campus right on our property at Boca Community!
If you’re a woman and have a passion for single mothers, you can serve them through mentorship, providing childcare, leading Study Groups, donating to our Clothing Closet and more! Signup as a volunteer to receive information and opportunities to serve with CityHouse.
We partner with 4KIDS of South Florida. Their mission is to provide homes with loving, Christian foster parents for children, who through no fault of their own, do not have a safe place to call home. Boca Raton Community Church is proud to partner with such an outstanding organization to meet the needs of this special population.
